How it works
One test day. A trajectory and a development plan for every player.
The tests are the same at every club, so results compare across teams, regions and years.
The test
Eight metrics measured. One standardized test at every club. Every metric tracked over time.
Physical, technical, game and mental, plus a growth check-up. Compare every player against peers at the same stage of growth, not just the same birth year.
Max speed
Top speed in a straight sprint.
Acceleration
How fast a player gets going over the first steps.
Agility
Changing direction at speed, in a shuttle run and agility course.
Ball feel
Close control in the air, measured in a figure-eight juggling test.
Dribbling
Speed and control on the ball through a set slalom course.
Game impact
Rotating teammates in 6v6 games shows what each player adds.
Mental strength
A behavioral self-assessment completed by each player.
Biological age
Estimates each player’s development stage using the Mirwald method, based on height, sitting height and weight.
Improvement over time
Every result is tracked across test days, so progress is visible.
The test day
The Game1 Combine fits into a regular training session.
What it needs: one team or more, 90 minutes per team on half a field, with standard equipment and two to four goalkeepers for the 6v6 games.
What it takes
-
Before
Set up
Download the Game1 app and upload your player list through the Game1 web portal. It syncs straight to the app.
The web controller’s session screen: a QR code to pair the two phones, with the 30 m sprint (start, 10 m and 30 m) and pro agility ready. Illustrative. -
On arrival
Check in
Match players to the list, add anyone new and mark absences.
The check-in kiosk: Theo finds his name and gets bib number 11. Illustrative. -
During
Run and measure
Players rotate through the stations in an optimized flow, with minimal waiting. Your phones capture every result with computer vision, straight into the Game1 app.
The Game1 app on the timing phone: Theo, bib 11, 30 m sprint, attempt 2 of 2, 4.75 seconds with a 10 m split of 1.98, crossing confirmed. Illustrative.

What it takes from your club
-
A first day together.
Game1 staff run your first test day with your coaches, including measuring out the courses. After that, most clubs run test days themselves.
-
Phones on tripods.
The phones use computer vision to collect the data. A whole test day needs 2 to 3 phones.
-
Parent consent.
Before a minor’s data is sent to Game1, your club must hold the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian.
-
Supervision stays with you.
Your staff supervise the test day and any training from a plan, and change or leave out anything that does not suit a player.
-
How often.
2 to 4 times a year.
